Our parade is still being worked on location wise, but Somer and I have been working very hard on making this a very educational CDH experience. We will have to speakers on CDH and do a march! To tell you a little about myself. This year I am 24 years old and I am a CDH survivor. I have a child of my own who is 3 this years, he was born healthy but my whole pregnancy I had to be checked to any complications. I was born with LCDH with a 20% survival rate. I went into surgery at an hour old with 6 months in the hospital recovering. I have had a few things that still today effect my everyday activities. I get random chest pains that no doctor has been able to say what it is, I get heart burn that effects my breathing, and makes me lose my food, I also can't play sports for very long for the fact that my lung is still under developed.
