BREAKING NEWS!!!
2015 CHERUBS CDH Scholarship Winner
It was very hard to select a winner this year as we had some really great applicants, but the final decision by the CPAB is:
We would like to congratulate our 2015 Oz Kidd-Ward CDH Scholarship winner, Matthew Heine!!
Matthew is a CDH survivor with a great GPA and very high ACT score. His intended major is Mechanical Engineering. Matthew has earned high honors in the sport of lacrosse and participated in basketball throughout his high school years. He also gives back to the sport of lacrosse by not only exceeding as a player, but coaching younger players. His peers voted him "most spirited" this past school year.
Matthew's English teacher described him as being "funny, bright and diligent" and that he "faces every challenge with determination and meets every deadline with competence." Matthew's lacrosse coach described Matthew as "honest, kind and a hard worker" and "a positive role model both on and off the field." We are very proud to help contribute to Matthew's success in college.
Matthew has won a one-time $1,000 grant to help with his college education. This grant comes from a scholarship established in memory of cherub Oz Kidd-Ward.
Congratulations, Matthew!!!
