If you really don't want your age displayed you can go into your profile (at the top of the screen) and edit it. I believe that if you remove the year when it asks you your bday it won't show your age. You can add a picture for an aviator on their and add a signature if you want.

We have to have the age in there to make sure everyone is old enough to be here. Otherwise I wouldn't want the darn thing either.
