Did anyone see the show babies special delivery with little Isaiah. It reminded me so much of my own delivery of Payton, except we did not know we were expecting a cdh baby, this mom was. Forgot moms name, maybe she is a member??? I did record it, I will have to watch again, it is funny how something so painful, yet I have to watch. He was transported to be put on ecmo, which I was a bit confused about, since she did know she was having a cdh baby, why she was not already at a hospital with things readily avaliable??? Little guy made it 8 weeks, it was just so real, and it seems like it was Payton, and us in the same situation just yesterday...it helps to have everyone here that understands all the stuff that goes with cdh. Part of the healing.

Was the episode called "First Breath"? If so, it is on again at 5am EST. tomorrow 10/25 on Discovery Health Channel. I'm going to try and get up, since I can't tape anything.

(60 minutes) Babies: Special Delivery
Turning Point
TV-PG, CC
Visit the high-risk maternity ward at Community Medical Center in Fresno, to hear about the conditions that the women must help their babies overcome. Some of these inexplicable problems are a dislocated intestine, low heart rate and infection.
Darn, I missed it again. I'll have to see if I can find it on a repeat.
Anyone know how to get a copy of an episode? How much $?

It was the same situation as jeremiah. Nationwide childrens is one of the only ones in Ohio with ECMO, but they don't delievere babies. OSU has a high risk NICU and Childrens has mobile and lifeflight intensive care units. He was stabilized and transported with mobile ICU, its the best you can do really.
I watched that episode while I was still pregnant with Jeremiah. I wish Id recorded it. it made me cry because i always had this feeling Jeremiah wasnt going to live. And for a long while he did, then he died.

I saw the one with Isaiah too... And I also wondered why he wasn't born at a hospital with ECMO if they knew he had CDH... It was very sad to watch....
