Praying for you all. Ethan experienced the pneumonia thing. It's hard waiting for them to get well. Take care of yourselves. Keep us updated.

We haven't had any problems with him gaining weight on this formula. I think sometimes it depends on the child how they gain weight.

Hello Caitlin. I don't have any advice for you really. We haven't experienced that problem. Our son, Ethan, is almost 3 years old and is about 40 pounds now. He doesn't take anything by mouth yet. He has severe oral aversions and is very slowly putting something in his mouth. Brushing his teeth is an ordeal for him. We have to hold him down and pry his mouth open. He will put a chip or cracker in his mouth and hold it there for a few seconds but he doesn't chew it. He doesn't like mushy feeling things in his mouth but doesn't understand that he has to start with the mushy stuff to work on swallowing. Anyway, he is on the feeding pump overnight (12 hours at 50 mils an hour), then gets 3 bolus feedings during the daytime (120 mils each). Total of about 32 ounces each day. We are using the PediaSure 1.5 as well. His doctor thought about trying to give it all during the daytime but he is still having reflux problems so decided against that. He couldn't handle the big boluses and the frequency with the reflux problems. Sorry about the long comment; don't know if any of this helps. How much does she get?
