My second grandson has arrived Brantley Reed

Angel gave birth Nov 1 2015 to a healthy son Brantley Wayne Reed. I was with Angel as she gave birth and he had me with his first breath. This is my third grandchild ,BUT as I wasnt in the room when either was born this just makes Brantley a little more special. Angel has never been on the charts with weight and weighting 104 when she became pregant it was a trimuph at every weight in we would fist pump everytime the nurses said that we were the only ones theey had ever seen that was excited with every pound she gained. She ended up gaining 35 pounds. She had a normal delivery well a little help with vacum but she was wore out from 12 hours of labour. Watching my second grandson enter this world was I cant even describe it I watched him being born I heard his first cry and I held him when he was a hour old. I didnt hold Angel till she was 3 weeks old it was just weird realizing that you got hold your granchild before you even held his mother. He weighed 7 lbs 3 ozs and was 21 inches long perfectly healthy. He is 2 months now and weighs 10 lbs 10 ozs and is healty. One of the special things is he has his moms pediatrician and Dr. Riley took care of Angel at Duke Hospital where Angel was born she also let me hold Angel in the NICU when she was 3 weeks old. She wasnt on call when Brantley was born the other Dr who is in her pratice was but she came to the hospital to check on someone else and saw Angels name on the board she knew it was her because of her name and came down to the room to check on her and the baby. I owe her so much she took great care of Angel once she came to our hometown Angel was the second patient she saw and it had been 3 years since she saw her at Duke she was my lifeline from 3 to 21 and i hated when Angel aged out. She will take care of Brantley til hes 21 or she quits praticing which I wont let her do till he turns 21. So mom and baby are doing great and nana is over the moon with Mr Brantley I cant get enough of him. Will update soon.
