Ethan has been doing great. He is still going to therapy and they are working on his aversions. His speech therapist gave us some exercises to do at home. We have to touch certain parts of his face and (I forget the name of them) do "C" shapes around each side of his mouth. Sometimes he likes it and will imitate them but other times he pushes your hands away. That's ok. I had a chance to go with Ethan to therapy today. He had speech and PT but the Occupational Therapist was off today. He did great. They are working with a Z-vibe (it vibrates and has little mouse and cat shaped tips to change out; also little brushes and smooth tips) to stimulate his mouth. Hope everyone had a great 4th of July. We celebrated Independence Day with a family reunion. We have been going to this reunion since I was a baby. It began about 45 years ago. We have only missed 1 year back in the 80's. We had the best time. Ethan went to the Splash Pad with his sister and cousin (it has sprinklers and water spouts coming from the cement pad similar to the Olympic water park in Atlanta). He had a total ball. Ethan has had a good week. He went to OT and speech therapy today. It is going to be a long road before he will eat anything. He will hold a cookie, cracker or something of that nature between his lips for a little while but does not like anything with a mushy texture (pudding, mashed potatoes, grits, etc). If you put some on his lips, he will grab a napkin or whatever is in reach and wipe it off. If he can't wipe it off he will hold his mouth open so his lips won't touch. We put chapstick ...

Ethan (2 years 8 months old today)is doing very well. He went to the doctor Wednesday with a fever. Don't know what it was but the doctor gave him some antibiotics since his nose had been running for a couple of weeks and 24 hours later the fever was gone and nose began clearing up. Maybe sinus infection? He is trying to run; looked like slow jogging but faster than he was going before. He got a hair cut yesterday and did very well. He hates to have his hair cut but we took him to my beautician ...
