Okay, so first...I went to the doctor yesterday and like I figured, they couldn't really tell us much of anything new. BUT, there was good news. I got to watch her practice breathing on the ultrasound which almost made me cry. It was beautiful and for some reason just really struck me. There has been no change really in her diagnosis. Her stomach is still up, her heart is still squished, and she is still a little smaller than average. She has grown though, and the doctor actually seemed excited ...
Well on April 18th baby Gavin is going to undergo surgery in mommys tummy. The procedure is very new, and cutting edge, but it's been successful thus far, and should help his little lungs grow. After the surgery i'll be on bed rest so that he can grow to be healthy, and strong until he's ready to meet the world. Now we're just praying that the insurance goes through, the procedure works, and that Gavin will be apart of this world with us! Chris, and I are trying to get extremely involved in the ...
I go to the doctor again tomorrow. Its just the ultrasound specialist and I doubt it will take very long, there's not much new they can tell us. The doctor said his diaphragm was still high on the right side and that she thought his lung would have grown more by now. But that it could still grow up until 7 or 8 years old. It looked like his liver may be pushing up on the patch but nothing looked really unusual or out of the ordinary for him. She will see him next ...
Wow its been a while since Axels last update. Well he turned 2 in December and is doing great. Hes been talking up a storm. He recently started sing the Wonder Pets theme song. Brings tears to my eyes he's doing so well. He has OT twice a week. He likes his therapist. Things are progressing slowly. He eats about 80% of his daily intake by mouth yet is still at 21pounds. He runs around so much he burns the calories just as soon as he eats them. Becoming very vocal in what he wants. Repeating almost ...
