  1. Visit #3

    No changes from the last visit at U of M. Things are still in the same place with heart to the right, stomach, intestines, liver and gallbladder up. I was so worried after the last visit. But the more I talk to people on here, the less worried I have become.

    Each baby is so different (I have to admit, I didn't really listen when everyone first told me this). As I read all the different stories and outcomes, you can not go on what has happened to our other Cherubs. There are ...

    [color=black:6640bf06ab][/color:6640bf06ab]

    Lily Elaine was born on December 15th at 10:48 am.

    She is beautiful! She had a wonderful week, so much in fact that they did the surgery today (well, yesterday now)!!

  3. A Gift So Small

    As I stumbled to the Christmas tree this morning to turn it on, I couldn't help but notice a potato under the tree. I had to step back and chuckle. I knew exactly where it came from - Adam. I forgot that potato was there, but I do recall watching him putting it there. Earlier this week, I was busy wrapping and putting presents under the tree. 4. Pregnancy Update

    Another quick doctor's appointment today. I saw the midwife instead of the doctor and she predicted that it was a boy based on the heart beat... Hmmmm maybe she should have looked at my chart b/c she is definitely a girl :) The last ultrasound left no question as to that. The one thing I don't like about the midwife is she never looks at the chart before seeing me, so she has NO IDEA who I am or my history. Its very frustrating to have to explain everything to her again as if it were my first appointment. ...

  5. How CDH came into my life

    My name is Jennifer and I became a CHERUBS member I think it was 2005/2006. My son was diagnosed with CDH when is was 7 months old while on vacation in Southern California. After misdiagnosis as Bronchialitis (sp?) and after almost a week and half of treating him for that, he was finally diagnosed after a second Xray was taken as a CDH. There was nothing in his abdomen. His left lung had collapsed and was filled with intestine. It was a blessing that when he was born his heart was on the right ...
