    Ethan's first week of pre-k went great. Ethan was nervous on the first day and even cried a little Tuesday morning. But by the end of the week; all he could talk about was going on the playground. Thursday and Friday it rained cats and dogs (it is continuing today) and they didn't get to go on the playground.     After 13 years of ups and downs, I'm finally going to post GOOD news! My son made the school golf team!!! I'm so happy for him--he's finally able to play a sport. In school golf, the kids are required to carry their clubs and walk the course. Due to John's severe pulmonary hypertension, his cardiologist wrote a letter to the athletic department to allow John to ride a golf cart for his matches. We were thrilled!     Ethan is 4 years 9 months old has had a wonderful summer. We went to our family reunion over the 4th of July and he enjoyed playing with all the other kids.     July/August Update:

    So we made the long walk down the hallway to the doctor’s office to discuss next steps since our 2nd son had just been diagnosed with CDH. There was a 98% chance of this not happening again…but it did.
