We went to see my doctor today, everything is looking good on the ultrasound, still a lot of extra amniotic fluid, we saw a close up of his chest and saw breathing motions, which is a good thing the doc said, he is a bit over four pounds now and his heart is still functioning great. THe c-section is going to be on november 17th which is on a monday, a little over a month left . . . wow! We also got to tour the OU children's hospital, saw the NICU, she showed us the rooms, even the room where the ECMO is if that is needed. It was a great visit overall, I feel a bit better being able to see everything.

Well we went back to the doctor's today, they did that swab test to check for preterm labor, so we will find out the results tommorrow sometime, however the doctor finally decided to go ahead and take me off work anyways since the amiotic fluid is building up in such excess. So I am relieved cause being on my feet for 10-15 hours a day was miserable, not to mention how uncomfortable I have been, I look like I am 12 months pregnant, and I am miserable, maybe now I can relax a bit and enjoy things a bit more and take more care of myself until our little man decides to come.

Well I went back to the doctor yesterday and had another ultrasound done, we are at 28 weeks and 4 days along, so a little less than three months lesft to go. Our little man looks so cute on the 3-d images. ON the other hand I have been having contractions for the last past week, well we found out that is due to excess amniotic fluid building up, which isn't good it means our little guy isn't breathing it in like he should, but the doctor said that is something normal for CDH children. But the immense pressure on my chest and bladder is horrible due to only get worse, I am bigger now than I ever have been atnine months pregnant so the excess fluid is quite noticable. I have to go back next week to get a preterm labor swab test, so we will see how that works out, hopefully I am not in that percentage of people, but with how things are changing it is a possibility and I am so scared, he needs to stay put as long as possible to develop as much as he can before entering this world. Well I will update again next week after we find the results out for now i will enjoy the rest of my vacation and get back to work on sunday.

Well the doctors office called yesterday evening and said I did not pass my glucose test . . . so now I had to fast all night and go and take a 3 hour glucose test. That stuff is the most horrible tasting stuff I thought the one I had on tuesday was bad but the one today tasted really nasty, maybe the glucose levels were different who know, I sure didn't enjoy the flavor. Not only did I have to drink the yucky stuff which made me sick to my stomach I had to get pricked four times to draw blood, one at the beginning and then once every hour for three hours after that . . . ouch! Well now we will wait and see what the results of that are, hopefully the first test was just wrong because I really do not want to have gestational diabetes on top of what it already wrong!

Well we went to see the doctor today to get the usual ultrasound, he has finally changed positions, which I kinda figured since I had this lovely sensation of feet in my rib cage . . . lol. Well nothing has really changed his stomach is still the only thing in his chest, but his heart has shifted more, but still is beating and functioning properly, thank goodness. The amniotic fluid is starting to turn a dark color which the doctor said is normal for a CDH baby cause he is not able to breathe it in as easy as a normal pregnancy child would. I was hoping that due to me having issues with dizziness and fainting at work that he may decide to take me off work early cause I am concerned for my little ones safety as well as mine and others around me, well he told me no and said he would not do it unless I was showing signs of preterm labor. So I am a little frustrated right now, cause work has gotten more difficult by the day it's not easy staying on your feet for 10-15 hours a day running a store, but I guess I will have to deal with it, I just hope I have no more epiosodes while at work that will cause me to pass out any more. We did get several neat pictures from the ultrasound several 3-D ones they were neat really was able to see what he looked like, so cute, the bright spot in my doctor's visit.
