We found out that Mar 26th my little girl will be having a re-repair of her cdh. Its been a scary journey. They plan to take the muscle from her shoulder to repair the diaphragm again. unfortunately the things she will endure have me broken hearted. She may even have to have a rib or 2 removed :/ Positive thoughts are appreciated <3

My little girl is 19 months old and we found out yesterday that the surgeon will have ot go in and take out the initial repair (done at 1 day old) as her body is rejecting it. Seems like it wouldve happened sooner however its not the case. They will be tearing the old repair out nad replacing it with muscle taken from her shoulder......anyone else have this happen? :(

I was wondering what it entailed to start a CDH walk in my area, if its even possible. I live in central NY and would like to do this in honor of my daughter Taylor. any info would be great! thanks!!

Has anyone had a problem with their children where the body rejects the repair? I took my daughter for a lump that was noticed at 13 months old, after an ultra sound we were told it was a soft tissue mass. I returned to her surgeon and he siad he "believes it to be" he body rejecting the stitching from her repair. No other tests were performed and I'm uneasy with the answers I'm getting.
