Test Test Test! but all worth it!

Rate this Entry
Since my last post Ive had many test done from amniocintisis(spellcheck),MRI, Ultrasounds, blood work! Everything under the sun, yet all woth it. The most painfull one was the amnio, first im super scared of needle and looking at blood! The doctor pretty much coud see i was nervous that he sugarcoated the process to me, his words were no pain lil poke and all done you wont feel a thing!!! i just asked to not be showed the needle so he didnt. once they pulled it out my moms jaw dropped and i knew it was huge! And about the pain yea it does hurt! more then a shot! but after all that im glad i did do it cuz they got what they needed to better help them with whatever they need that for. the MRI wasent that bad beside the fact i was on my back for about an hour and half since my baby kept moving on them, beging in a small space never bothered me at all, i almost fell asleep then it would make this loud noise and scare me. they should really put a light in there to warn someone bloodworks is like every blood test out there, why am i so scared of blood? well i never was till i had a accident which i almost cut off my pinky at work! painfull all i remeber seeing blood and no pain wondering who was the dumb one bleeding all over the place! Yea it was me, i never felt the pain. I hit walls, hit my car drove myself to the ER, and never cryed. Well i never was scared of blood and stuff, but now i see it and hold my poor pinky so tight that it turns white! then theres needles with that I was about 12 when i got really sick i was in the hospital with IVs everywhere and one of them, was outside my vaine, my arm got so swollen, the pain was terrible, And I was 12. scary!!

Now the good news!
Amnio- everythting came back good no other problems with her.

MRI- her liver stayed in its place! yay! and only part of her bowels and stomach are in her left side of her chest, her heart got pushed to the right the but the axis are correct

Ultrasound- 10 fingers, 10 toes, shes perfect!
1.5lb 8inches long Im 23weeks and 5 days, So she a good size well a normal size.

Bloodwork- Everything is normal with me, just got to eat more foods with iron, but ive always had a low iron count or whatever the term is used for that.

So far with this pregnancy Ive gain 0 pounds, yea I kno I lost weight due to the fact i had really bad morning sickness, but now I put on a pound a week, the total weight loss was 18 pounds, Im trying my best to gain anything but my body just dosent store much fat! idk why I just never gain weight when in pregnant. Ive been told i need to gain weight at least 20 more pounds, hopefully i do and soon

So far thats all the info I have, and have thought of if anyones has question just ask

Wow.. that is great news. I am not sure if you have read my post but we have gone through the exact same thing. They had us do an amnio and I didn't think it hurt at all. I felt a cramp that they said would happen, But I am not scared of needles so that might have been why you thought it hurt. We had to do an MRI as well to confirm that they thought it was CDH.
Our little boy is doing good too. All organs are down too except his bowel and his stomach is even down so we are grateful for that. How far along are you? Do they have you on weekly u/s?
I am 27 weeks. I will be 28 on Monday. I am so glad to hear that the baby is doing well. Thanks for posting, and keep us posted.
I was suprised that they didn't have a light in the MRI. They had one for me and it was blinding. Well, keep in touch.
