The run around.

Jagger has passed his car seat test, hearing and vision tests, his breathing is steady (no oxygen), he is gaining weight everyday, he is eating on his own and we passed the sleep over test, yet for some reason they dont want to release him. I know Jagger is ahead of schedule and has amazed all his doctors at how well he is doing. Believe me I am greatful that he has had the care he has received and without them Jagger would not be here today but it is time to come home to his family. He is strong and ready I can see it in his face he is like his mother and does not have very much patience.

Praying for Jagger's homecoming.....talk with doctors and find out there concerns on why they won't discharge him. Usually, they don't do all the tests unless Home is right around the corner. Hang in there, he is so close!

Hugs! I am the mom to a survivor who is now 3 years old and perfect, but I remember where you were so perfectly. Home seems so close you can almost taste it. We had NICU III at my hopsital which is where the babies are when they are on ECMO, CPAP or more critical. And then the step down NICU II where the babies go to learn to eat and do all the steps to go home. Our surgeon said to me one day when I was anxiously asking when we would get out, "We are your heros in NICU III, and your jailers in NICU II." So true. May the light at the end of the tunnel get closer and closer. HUGS!

Praying for you and Jagger. I am a very impatient person but one thing CHERUBS teach us impatient mothers is patient. Since my son has been home almost a year things have gone somewhat smooth and hearing how great Jagger is doing his and your journey will be smoother (((hugs)))

I think that sometimes patience is the life lesson that I have to learn. For sure having a CDH baby has tought me to be patient. When he was in the hospital I had to talk myself out of kidnapping my own kid everyday. I am just thankful that he is doing so well.

That is awesome that your baby is doing great too!
