Hi Michelle, I am so sorry your baby girl has been diagnosed with CDH. I think I may have talked with your baby's grandma recently through emails on here and on the forums, but please know you have a wonderful support group behind you and please ask questions if you have any. Are you at a hospital that will be fighting for your baby girl? Not too many members read the blogs here on the forums, so if you go to the Forums Tab (next to the Blogs Tab) and go to members expecting CHERUBS and post, you will have even more members see your message and offer up their support and love.

One day at a time and focus on the positive. Try not to focus on the sats and numbers, each baby is so different and with right sided cases the LHR will not be as accurate either. The true test of how she will do, will be when she arrives. There are many, many right sided survivors out there and we will praying for your baby girl's miracle too.

(((HUGS))). Let me know if you need help with the forums and posting.

My son Adam is a right sided survivor. I just want to give you some hope. Adam was born undiagnosed and at the wrong hospital. He spent 10 days on ECMO, 23 on a respirator, 44 days on O2 amd finally came home on day 63. Today he is for the most part healthy with asthma and interstital lung disease. We will be praying. for you as you journey down your own CDH road.

Hey, Im a 16 year old mother to a right sided CDH survivor he was too given a 10% to survive! But i found out my son had CDH hours after he was born! He was put on ECMO on the night that he was born, ill admit it wwas scary seeing him on this big machine with blood flowing through it with two canulas going into his neck! i was too afraid to lose my son, but tomorrow he will be 3 months still in the NICU at Childrens hospital in Dallas. It's a mothers instinct to that our babies are fighters. Hope you and your daughter have strength and love to overcome this battle. (:
