Discovery Channel "A Baby's Battle for Life"

Discovery Channel- Their medical special, "A Baby's Battle for Life", featured many babies in the NICU setting, including the stories of 2 cherubs. Originally aired October 7, 2000, you can purchase the video at their web site.

Saw this when it aired at a later date and it was very informational and sad. It didn't help that I was pregnant with Kaleigh at the time.

I have a copy of it if anyone wants to borrow it.

I received the tape and cannot Thank you enough.
It took me almost a day to watch....I kept stopping it and watching it.
It was very informative. I wish I would have seen it when I was pregnant with Shelby. Then I think it would have scared me to death.
It shows what CDH reality is all about.
I would think this would be a great tape for expecting mothers to watch--but think also it may scare them. It is a VERY hard call.
It also brought back SO many scary times in Shelby's last 17 months on this earth. I am again reminded how Blessed we really are to have this butterfly with us. How many families have suffered with CDH babies.
Watching it was bitter sweet. Does that make sense?

I just cannot Thank You enough Christie for doing all the work you did in getting me the copy.

Others that have seen this---what do you think?
I wonder if the Discovery channel would do another more updated one????
Now that would be the show to have CDH awareness on...I would think.

I sure would like to see this tape. Can someone get me a copy. I'll pay for it and shipping.

Shane's Mom is here, helping with the girls while we are here for Shelby's test. Need to visit and this is So exciting...my friend who I have not seen, gosh since Shelby has been born.....GOT a flu shot(first time) and is coming Saturday.

The video store will not make copies becasue of copying right laws.
I am going to see if Shane can copy it to video's--if he can--I will be happy.
I am not done trying to get this video to DVD's for all of you.
I am determined to get this done.
Please give me some time and I will do something.

I have even thought--that we could start a mailing of the video.
I would send it to Penny--Penny would send it to Tania....and we could go on like that.

But I really don't like when people tell me NO!!!! lol

I actually just called discovery channel, they couldnt find this available, but i submitted a special request to have them research to see if they still have it ...
i thought about that copyright law .. sucks if that's the only way you have to get it, since they arent producing it anymore,
I will let you know what they tell me if they get back to me, i'm like you, i dont like to hear NO either.

I also looked way back when to see if they had it for sale and NO!
I think that would be great if they do still have it.
Did they say they would call you back?
Let's keep our fingers crossed and maybe if they do have copies we can write them a letter and they will donate copies for whoever want them.
