There's a great show on Oprah today about the U.S. healthcare system, insurance, healthcare for children, etc.
Politics aside - the U.S. healthcare system is a complete mess and needs revamping desperately. Ask any of our members with multi-million dollar houses, those who had to give up jobs and life insurance to make less money so their cherubs could get on Medicaid because no insurance company would take them, or the many, many members who have had to file bankruptcy because of the astronomical medical bills. Or all the families here who have to chose between paying bills or getting medicine for their cherubs. It's embarrassing that our country's healthcare is such a mess. I don't know what the answer is, but there needs to be changes.
Just FYI, it's quite an interesting show and it's not politically charged (so far... halfway through watching it).
