Amy gave some great Cake idea!! You are so creative with that - I can't wait to see the cake!

Wish I could make it. Next year, next year!! We will be celebrating over here, I'll buy some cupcakes! (I don't bake, I burn)

I was thinking, when do you think I should book a hotel for Salem? I would assume October is a crazzzzyyy month up there. I am so excited to go. I love Halloween!

    You all are so great!

Kate- I've heard that October is pretty crazy in Salem. I actually have only been to Salem once when I was like 10... so it will be kind of a new experience for me too! I figure once the holidays are over we will set the dates and I will take a drive up there to look for a good hotel, and make all the arrangements. How long do you think you will be staying?

Corin - I only just noticed your weight loss ticker! Well done on losing the 4lbs - you go girl. I've been doing weight watchers for a few months. Am losing very slowly, I figure it's now or never and it's something that always plays on my mind!

Weight watchers is a great program! I did it when I was 17 and lost 20 lbs! It's nice b/c they really stress healthy eating, but you can still have a bit of chocolate or such. Loosing slowly is the way to go, they say about 1 lb a week is healthy to loose, but loosing too much at once isn't. I have put on so much weight these last few years, I really need to get rid of it. I'm hoping having the ticker as a daily reminder will help motivate me to put down the ice cream!!!!

If it was up to me - I'd move up there! I would imagine we would stay maybe like an extended weekend? Like Friday through Monday? If you find a cheapy motel let me know. I have watched shows about Halloween is Salem. I know that many witches (like actual practicing Wicans) go up there every year and have crazy rituals. I am excited to see the beautiful trees. Steve and I are taking a ride up to some rapid falls about an hour away from the house next weekend to go see the leaves changing.

I just wanted to let everyone know how the bowl-a-thon went... it was amazing! We had over 50 people attend including a few cherubs members. Steph and Barb flew in on Saturday and spent a few days with us! Jen Brown along with her family and cherub Adrian were able to make it We also had Joelene Ross and her family- including her beautiful cherub Lydia, and Jeanne Vaughn with her adorable cherub- Griffin. Makayla got very friendly with Griffin and we have the cutest video of them kissing!

The bowl-a-thon was a huge success! Although I won't know the exact amount until all the pledges come in, I already know we far exceeded our goal! Best of all everyone seemed to have a great time and we were able to spread the word a bit about CDH to the local bowlers!!!

    Here are a few pics:

This is the beautiful shadow box Kate made me:
