We are trying to eliminate the feeding tube. Right now Sierra doesn't use it for calorie intake only for hydration. We haven't used it for anything except water and the occasional medication (tylonel or antibiotics etc). I have plenty of cups and water bottles out for her through the day. I always have a water a juice and milk cup available for her. She maybe drinks 1 to 2 of them through out the day. And that is a good day. So we end up having to push water through the tube to keep her hydrated. I thought getting her to eat was a challenge, drinking is way more frustrating than eating ever was. Her tube has come out a couple of times because the balloon broke and every time it is a screaming fight to get it back in. We are no where near the goal amount the dietician gave us for her to drink and I am getting more and more frustrated. I have spent more than I care to on almost every type of cup imaginable for her.
