I think they have already used it but I'm not sure. The third season when Meredith's half sister was having a baby. She was in the hospital because she might deliver early and I could have sworn they said it was because of CDH. I've been trying to catch that episode again ever since cause it could have well been CHD. Anyone have the episodes on DVD?

Yes, it was early last season I believe. Lexie (Meredith's sister) is now an intern. Wouldn't it be great if they discussed her baby and the CDH and made it a storyline? Imagine all the CDH awareness that would bring.

Is it driving anyone else nuts that they have totally edited out the baby from the show? The baby went from having CDH to another defect to being totally gone. They could've raised so much awareness and now, nothing.

I just checked the recaps from the Grey's website and "Molly" was the name of Meredith's sister who had the baby. But you are correct that they did change the baby's condition from CDH to an omphalocele.
