I have been keeping very busy. Today after work I decided I needed a day of nothing so I came home and slept, and of course now I am up and probably won't be able to go back to sleep. O well.

I have been selling truffles for a mini fundraiser for Cherubs, and it has done a whole lot better than I ever expected. I estimate that I have already sold over 170 boxes and continue to get requests and orders. So in between working and other stuff you can find me in my mini kitchen playing ...

Work has been really stressful lately. I am a pastry chef and I LOVE to bake and do cakes. While I was prego with Gabe I didn't have a job for awhile and after he passed away I needed a low stress easy job. So I decided to apply at my local grocery store for a cake decorator position. At first it was perfect-part time, no major responsibilities, low stress and easy. I am very happy to announce that we are having a girl! More importantly, everything seems to be growing at normal rates, and everything is where it should be! We got some of the test results back and so far they have all come back with low risk for things like Downs Syndrome and Trisomy 18. The only concern was the spotting I had this morning, which after an exam was determined to be caused by a polyp. They will be keeping an eye on it, but say it isn't something to worry about. Well I can officially call myself a nervous wreck at this point. It is less than 2 hours until my big doctors appointment where I get all sorts of scary genetics and other tests along with a level 2 ultrasound. If I wasn't scared enough as it was, about an hour ago I was at work and started cramping. I went to the bathroom and found a little blood. I freaked out! I ran out of work like a mad woman without any explanation to my boss who probably wants to kill me right about now. I just needed to ...

I got back from a much needed vacation last night. I had a wonderful time. We started by spending a night in Raleigh, NC where we got to spend some time and meet Dawn before heading to South Carolina to see some friends and family. We ended our vacation in the middle of nowhere West Virginia where we camped at a state park 20 miles away from the closest town. It was exactly what I needed to relax. I wish it never ended, but now I guess its time to go back to work and back to reality.
