Today, I walked into the room late. It was 11 a.m. and I was hurrying to get there. I woke up this a.m. at 5 a.m. and had a splitting headache. The kind that my jaw ached and neck muscles ached and head was pounding every possible which way. I needed something to relieve it so I grabbed my Excedrin Extra Strength and went back to bed. It seems each time the weather changes, which is like every week, Axel gets a cough and congestion. I worried so much he might get worse and we would have to go back to the hospital and stay a few days. But luckily with a few puffs of his inhaler he breathes a bit easier. But I know this is going to be our routine till spring comes around. Then the heat which Axel does not tolerate well.

Nonna was awake at 3:45 this morning. Didn't take my melatonin so my mind & heart were racing with all kinds of thoughts & prayers. So many heart-wrenching things go through my mind & heart when I can't sleep or are otherwise distracted.

Last night was probably the most scariest day of my life. I never thought that I would have to walk this path and now it is here. His oxygen dropped to 50%. They could not oxygenate him.
