    May Update:

    I am going to take a break for the next couple of months with respect to my son’s story and how we dealt with finding out he had the birth defect congenital diaphragmatic hernia. This month I want to write about the Day of CDH Awareness which was April 19th. Next month, I plan to write about how CDH has affected our current pregnancy. We are expecting another boy in September.

  2. Reherniation - Almost age 3 - Niklas

    Niklas had an annual check-up/x-ray early March 2013. Once again, they saw a grey area and requested MRI. They have been asking us to get an MRI for over a year. For many reasons we decided against it until now. A few days after MRI the doctor called and stated Niklas has reherniated. They met as a team and reviewed Niklas's x-rays and recent MRI.     So everything went great! Had some contractions after the surgery, which is normal for 32 weeks, baby is doing great just waiting to go home .... bed rest here I come! Hopefully I can make it through the 8 weeks.
