Hi there- Im pretty new to the forum, and this is my first blog post. My son Julian was born with CDH in July 2011. We did not know he had CDH until he was 3 weeks old, losing weight fast and not keeping any thing he ate down. He was prescribed zantac by our pedi before we knew what was actually wrong. After Julians surgery, he was eating really well- but probably a month afterwards he started to scream and fight every time I tried to feed him. I guess I didn't really realize that he could still be in pain until Tracy mentioned that this is a common problem with CDH babies. Anyway, I went ahead and filled his prescription again, and started him back on the zantac to see if he improved. Im so relieved that he is seems to be eating better- I send him to daycare with three 4 oz bottles, and I dont think he's ever finished them, but the past two days he has! And he hasn't screamed while breast feeding in 2 days either! Im so grateful for this forum and thank you Tracy for your insight. So far so good. We have our 6 month well baby check up on Thurs with our pedi and appointment with surgeons on the 14th of Feb
