Im going to book my hotel soon, my next day off!! We are planning to arrive the 22nd and leave the 28th!

I talked to Chris, the hotel guy in charge of our conference, and was told there must be a mix up at the desk because a block of room was set aside for our conference and there are many left. Please try to make reservations at the front desk and let them know you are part of CHERUBS conference and rooms were set aside for this conference.

Yes, Dawn I was told that by our hotel. They said they do not have any large rooms available for those dates and due to fire code regulation I would have to get two rooms. They count the twins even though they will not be sleeping in a bed, I am bringing the pack and play, it will only be three adults.

Fer, it would be with my younger sister (she is 24). She has a minor in Spanish from Penn State University ;) Let me know how it works with Kara. If I cannot find a bunk mate for her, I guess I will just have to suck it up and pay for two rooms . . . I would much rather go in halves on another room rather than full price.

I will wait to see if I can get someone to bunk with my sister before I do anything. She said that I could reserve one room, but when I got there they would make me get another room . . .

Ok, I need to know who is going alone so I can book my room. I need to share bc between the cost of the flight and the hotel it's just too much for me (the dollar is way too high compared to the peso).

Kara will let me know this week, but I have to have other choices.

I am so jealous !!!! I wish I would be able to attend. Celia would only be a few weeks old and I will be recovering from a c-section. ( not complaining )

Kate, call 210-524-5927 and ask for Raffy - she's the person in charge of reservations and that's the direct line. Tell her that you spoke with me and I spoke with Chris and you're not to be charged for the babies (Chris already talked to her while I was on the phone with him).

We think the problem is that the reservations are going through the front desk and not Raffy's office. So far, they have only 2 reservations under the conference name - the Olivarez family and the Lane family. If anyone else has booked, please let me know so I can make sure it's applied to our conference!

We have a block of 25 rooms set aside for us so there is plenty of room and we need to book ALL 25 rooms or we have to pay for them - so let's start booking them please! :)

I made reservations!!! They did tell us they couldn't count us as part of the cherubs group because we are using reward points to pay for the room.

I have sent them an email to try and organise as much of our booking that way so it doesn't cost me a new mortage on the house for the call! lol Haven't back yet but hopefully will by tomorrow.

We have almost worked out what we are going to do while we are in the states. Some of the things we wanted to do we aren't because it is summer holiday's and there will be way too many people around (like Yosemite). We are VERY excited and I can't WAIT to meet you ALL. I can't even imagine meeting you Dawn - don't know how I will feel and react??? Can't wait though :-)

Chris booked our room today!!! Now just got to decide if to fly or drive. Probably won't decide until after Ian's doctor appts. in June. So excited to meet everybody!!

Ok, I still need a roomie but I'm going to be there an extra day or two so not sure what days yet. Will book my room and then find a roomie or maybe will just the space to store whatever we need to store for the conference, etc. I'm ok either way but would rather share and save some $$$.

URG, I am so jealous! I want to go so bad. I was trying to save some money but then got into a fender bender and now have to pay a women $700 for a 3 inch scratch on her bumper...

Barb, it will be soooo wonderful meeting all the 'old timers' and I was so excited when I heard Brenda was coming as well. I have also got to know so many of the'new timers' and can't wait to meet them. And if it is anything like the aussie gatherings, there are always people who have never really been as 'involved' who attend and you get to meet 'new' people. It is always the best!

Just confirmed my booking!!! They were wonderful - took all details and organised the reservation via email so that all I needed to do was make a quick call and provide my credit card info. Next step is to start booking our internal flights. Sooooooo excited :-)
