Personalized Graphics for CDH Awareness

I've been not wanting to post this, but ok, I give up! ;)

A certain unnamed organization is now offering personalized CDH graphics to members. CHERUBS has been offering our "Adopt A Cherub" program, which is pretty much the same thing, for over 4 years now.

Now, some of our members want the flat, personalized text graphics too and don't want to use the ones from the other organization because they want the cherubs / CHERUBS. Sooooo... ok, I give in.

*But* I can't create all these myself, I have a ton of graphic stuff to do for cafepress first, so we need a volunteer who can do this. Something simple, just add a logo character and some text to a block graphic for parents who want these. Do we have any graphic artists in the house? 0:-)

You can even name your cherub character too. Here's an example below under the dotted line. To use the character of your choice go to http://www.cdhsupport.org/web/adopt.php and find the cherub that you want to use. In the code below change the name adam to whatever name the cherub character is named on our site (all lower case - make sure to use the name of the character there, not the name you want it to have). To change the name of the cherub, edit the name Bobby in the coding below. You can also change "I adopted my cherub" to something like "I support CHERUBS in honor / memory of _______".

Working on personalized graphics this afternoon. I try to work on them in batches as it's easier that way. So if any of you want one, please e-mail your photo and cherub's name and date(s) to me at membership@cherubs-cdh.org and I'll get those to you tonight! The more we post graphics like this all over the internet and e-mail, the more we raise awareness!!! :)

Ok, I just sent out about 25 ribbons. I got requests here, on private msg, on e-mail, facebook, myspace and even 1 by phone... it was all a bit confusing to keep up with so if I forgot someone, I am sooooo sorry!!!! Please don't take it personally!!!! I had no idea how overwhelmed I would be with requests for these. Which is why...

Goodsearch.com has great directions on adding their logo to your e-mail, etc. You can use our code to add your ribbon instead (though we encourage you to add our Goodsearch.com coding as well!)

Okay, I tried to add this to Shannon's site and it did not work, if anyone else has added it to their personal site, let me know so I can figure out what I am screwing up LOL!

OMIGOSH! Nevermind, I got it. I posted it on Shannon's page! Corin - have you edited on virtual memorials lately?? They added this new advanced editorial thing, and I cannot figure it out for the life of me! I totally gave up and some how figured out to switch it back to the old editorial way! If you know how to use the new way, can you email me, I just cannot figure it out.

I even adopted a cherub and put it on her site, it has been awhile since I sat down to clean up her site a bit. I have been so busy here, I just haven't kept up with her site!! I love adding those little icons, they are just wonderful Dawn. Is there any way you could tell me how to make those, maybe I can help you make them for different holidays and such?

Kate- I hate the new features-they keep messing up when I try to add things so I switched back to the old way. If you figure it out let me know :)

LOL! I started messign around with it just now, I like that I can change the fonts, and I figured out how to add the hyperlinks in so that you can just click on them (you could use it for Gabe's angel friends page or links to here, I used it on here) that is great. I cannot figure out how to add new pics, icons, or anything like that. It's not like their directions help either. I hate that. That is the thing I like to do the most, add new little icons! I'll just do fonts in the new way and pics/icons in the old way I guess. You know, it is a great site, but everytime I have had questions and I emailed them, I never hear back from them.

Whoa, me trying to re-post those codes did not work. Okay on page on, Dawn wrote out all the codes. It is like the 6 post down. The ribbons are the first code. (I tried to quote what she wrote, hoping the codes would come out) To post it in your signature, go into your profile and hit edit signature. Copy the code anywhere you would like it to appear in your signature (you should probably use the small ribbon) After you paste it in there, you will see the name shane in the code, right before it says NOSAVEBORDER, change shane to shelby. That should pull up Shelby's ribbon.
I am just not sure how you can do it in your e-mail. I would imagine that your e-mail would have to have a "Signature" feature also? You should be able to post her ribbins on websites you have for her also. If you see Shannon's site, all I do is when I am editing it is put the codes for those particular icons in it and when I save it, they change to the pictures. I hope I helped you! Let me know if you still can't get it, or I confused you more!!
