It's a sound thing, too. I can't stand to hear them flipping around. That sound is so grating and right up there with listening to people chew and snap gum.

I honestly don't understand how those shoes even stay on anyone's feet. Maybe it is just because I have such a high and long arch, but flip flops will not stay on my feet at all. I trip so much wearing them. Oh and the thingy that goes in between the toes always, always cuts me. Ever tried to put a bandaid between your toes. Doesn't work well : )

I HATE that toe thong. HATE IT. It hurts. And those big toe straps are just as bad.
Everyone wears flip flops everywhere here, it's gross. I wear SANDALS (very distinct from flip flops, kthnx) and sneakers.
I hate crocs, too, while we're on the subject.
