Dawn, I have no idea if I can. I'll have to ask Jason if he can. He's my computer wiz. I guess when the computer doesn't belong to him , he can pretty much do anything he wants to it
I did see the charity thing you signed up for on you tube. So I'll see if there is a link to it.
I had to go back on youtube yesterday and add CDH but the long word for it on her tag line cus it wasn't pulling it up. She has like 96 hits on it already!!!

Tania, your video was just beautiful too! Kermit gets me everytime (Shane loved Kermit) so I cried twice as much watching your video.

I'm going to try to add videos to our homepage, MySpace, Facebook, etc... if that's ok with everyone? Add 2 to each maybe and then switch them out monthly like we do the photos at the top of our site.

CHERUBS Video... let's get some ideas flowing on what it should be like! I was thinking maybe an hour long, explaining what CDH is and the journeys that the kids take (ECMO, feeding issues, 50% survival rate, a bit about in utero procedures, etc) and bits of all the videos, with as many cherubs as possible and someone narrating part of it (Victoria?), plus a song. The songs... pull at your heartstrings even more! As for what song, I love that Coldplay song but do we need to worry about copyright issues if we go public with the video? I think Shelly Evans has written a song, maybe she could sing it for the video? Just some ideas! What does everyone think?

Maybe even if we had some musicians to just play a melody during the narration. We need to find a good site/program that you can create videos. Wouldn't you know it, I had one installed on my laptop (I just got it for Christmas) and I unistalled it because I thought, I don't need that!! I am going to Office Max today, I'll look around at some programs. I'll check around about copyright laws. Do we have any lawyers here?

We have a couple of lawyers here, plus CHERUBS now has 2 lawyers. One of them was a professional musician before law school, so I'll ask and find out about the music copyrights.

I think the video was made with Windows Movie Maker, i have done another video with this program using every single photo related to Jacob and the song 'Mothers of the disappeared' and once you get the hang of it it only takes a day to do. I did not buy the program but when i installed a dvd writer the program came through on a windows update.
Glad you all liked the video and yes old Kermit knows how to pull at the heart strings, none of my friends or family can listen to that song anymore without shedding a tear.

Kate-how did you do your video? Was it with just pictures? How long did it take? Can it be done with just pictures? or do you have to have video to? How many pictures did you use, or how many pictures can you use?
The reason I ask so many questions-is I want to try and attempt to make one of Shelby. Do you think this is something that a not so computer savy person could do?
Do you have any interest in doing a video for a CHERUBS member? Hint...Hint.....Ok, I don't think I would be able to figure it out. When I did the postcards for CHERUBS it took we like 4 hours to figure out how to print both sides. Yes, feel free to laugh. So I am wondering if you have any interest in doing one for Shelby? I am SO willing to pay you for your time. Just thought I would ask.

Stephanie, I have windows movie maker that i made Jacob's with. It is fairly easy to use and i used photos and i also managed to add candles from Jacob's web site. I found with the one i made myself that there were too many photos for the length of the song (our song was 5min 13) so i had no music at the start and then the song coming on after about a minute. Unfortunately i did not upload to the web when i was finished and now i'm trying to work out how to upload it.
